Mead & Hunt, Inc. invites you to join our summer internship experience in the Traffic Engineering & Advanced Mobility (TEAM) group. This full-time summer role offers hands-on exposure to traffic control devices, ITS applications, and corridor studies while working with industry professionals.

You'll perform data collection, CAD-based drawings, and research standards such as MUTCD and AASHTO. The role emphasizes collaboration, learning, and contributing to safe, efficient transportation solutions.

Qualifications

• Completed at least one transportation engineering related course.
• Prior related internship experience.
• Knowledge of MicroStation and/or AutoCAD.
• Experience with traffic simulation software (e.g., HCS, Synchro).
• A passion to contribute to innovative solutions that improve transportation systems.

Responsibilities

• Traffic data collection and field work.
• Assist with engineering drawings, plan prep, and reports using CAD/traffic software.
• Research MUTCD, AASHTO, and local standards to support design.
• Collaborate with engineers to brainstorm safety and mobility solutions.
• Other tasks as assigned.
