Mead & Hunt, Inc. invites you to join our limited-term, full-time summer internship with the Traffic Engineering & Advanced Mobility (TEAM) group in Baltimore.

The TEAM group analyzes and designs traffic control devices and ITS to improve safety and mobility, with opportunities to gain hands-on experience in field data collection, CAD tools, and design reports under the supervision of licensed engineers. Ideal candidates will have transportation engineering coursework and related internship

Qualifications

Completed at least one transportation engineering related course.
Prior related internship experience.
Knowledge of MicroStation and/or AutoCAD.
Experience with traffic simulation software (e.g., HCS, Synchro).
Passion to contribute to innovative transportation solutions.

Responsibilities

Traffic data collection & field work.
Use CAD and/or traffic modeling software to assist with engineering drawings, plan preparation, and project reports.
Research MUTCD, AASHTO, and local standards to support design recommendations.
Collaborate with professional engineers to brainstorm innovative safety / mobility solutions.
Other tasks as assigned.
