Job summary
Mead & Hunt, Inc. invites you to join our limited-term, full-time summer internship with the Traffic Engineering & Advanced Mobility (TEAM) group in Baltimore.
The TEAM group analyzes and designs traffic control devices and ITS to improve safety and mobility, with opportunities to gain hands-on experience in field data collection, CAD tools, and design reports under the supervision of licensed engineers. Ideal candidates will have transportation engineering coursework and related internship
Qualifications
- Completed at least one transportation engineering related course.
- Prior related internship experience.
- Knowledge of MicroStation and/or AutoCAD.
- Experience with traffic simulation software (e.g., HCS, Synchro).
- Passion to contribute to innovative transportation solutions.
Responsibilities
- Traffic data collection & field work.
- Use CAD and/or traffic modeling software to assist with engineering drawings, plan preparation, and project reports.
- Research MUTCD, AASHTO, and local standards to support design recommendations.
- Collaborate with professional engineers to brainstorm innovative safety / mobility solutions.
- Other tasks as assigned.
