Job summary

Mead & Hunt invites you to join our limited-term, full-time summer internship with the Traffic Engineering & Advanced Mobility (TEAM) group. The role focuses on analyzing, designing, and implementing traffic control devices and ITS solutions to improve safety and mobility.

The ideal candidate will have completed at least one transportation engineering course, internship experience, and knowledge of MicroStation/AutoCAD, plus exposure to traffic simulation software like HCS or Synchro.

Qualifications

• Completed at least one transportation engineering related course
• Prior internship experience preferred
• Knowledge of MicroStation and/or AutoCAD
• Experience with traffic simulation software (e.g., HCS, Synchro)
• Passion to contribute to innovative traffic solutions

Responsibilities

• Traffic data collection & field work
• Use CAD and/or traffic modeling software to assist with drawings and reports
• Research MUTCD, AASHTO, and local standards to support design
• Collaborate with engineers to brainstorm safety/mobility solutions
• Other tasks as assigned
