Job summary

Fishbeck is seeking a Traffic Engineer to join the Transportation Department in Michigan. You will support and lead traffic engineering projects, including studies, modeling, forecasting, signal operations, and client coordination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
• 2+ years of traffic engineering experience.
• Experience with the ITE Trip Generation Manual and traffic studies.

Responsibilities

• Prepare traffic impact studies, safety studies, signal optimization analyses, and traffic forecasts.
• Perform intersection and roadway traffic modeling.
• Conduct roundabout analysis and geometric evaluations.
• Develop maintenance of traffic plans using traffic data.
• Write reports and support traffic signal design and operations.
• Interact with clients, including MDOT, local agencies, consulting partners, and contractors.
• Assist with project budgets, schedules, and technical proposals.
• Manage tasks, mentor staff, and collaborate with transportation professionals across Fishbeck offices.
