Job summary

Fishbeck is seeking a Senior Transportation Engineer in Farmington Hills, MI to lead roadway and freeway design projects and mentor staff. You will collaborate with MDOT and local agencies to deliver transportation solutions, manage budgets, schedules, and proposals.

You will bring a Civil Engineering degree, a PE license, and 10+ years of MDOT-focused roadway experience, with strong MicroStation/GeoPak expertise and knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D; storm drainage and traffic control experience is

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
• PE license required.
• 10+ years of roadway engineering experience with MDOT/local agencies.
• Strong proficiency with MicroStation/GeoPak.
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D is a plus.
• Knowledge of HEC-RAS, HY-8, StormCAD preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead plan production for roadway and freeway design using MicroStation/GeoPak and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Coordinate project work with MDOT, local agencies, consultants and contractors.
• Develop project budgets, schedules and technical proposals.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to staff.
• Prepare quantities and construction cost estimates for bidding.
• Deliver transportation design and consulting services for MDOT and municipalities.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for successful project delivery.
