Fishbeck seeks a Senior Traffic Engineer to join the Transportation team in Michigan. Based in a Fishbeck Michigan Regional Office, you will lead complex design projects from concept through construction and mentor junior staff.

You will work with clients and agencies to deliver safe, efficient transportation solutions, ensure MDOT standards, and contribute to growing Fishbeck’s Michigan transportation practice. The role supports hybrid scheduling and comprehensive benefits.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Civil Engineering.
• 10+ years of traffic engineering experience, MDOT projects.
• Michigan PE license required.
• Proficiency in MicroStation; AutoCAD/Civil 3D is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of MDOT standards and guidelines.
• Experience with Highway Capacity Software and Synchro; TransModeler is a plus.
• Familiarity with the ITE Trip Generation Manual, complex maintenance of traffic design, and traffic studies.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the design and development of traffic engineering components from concept through construction.
• Ensure project work complies with MDOT standards and guidelines.
• Conduct traffic impact, safety studies, signal optimization, and forecasting.
• Prepare technical reports, proposals, and construction cost estimates.
• Manage project scope, schedule, budget, quality, and communication.
• Mentor and support junior staff while coordinating with other disciplines and offices.
• Collaborate with clients, local agencies, and contractors to deliver high-quality solutions.
