Job summary

RoadSafe Traffic Systems is hiring a Traffic Control Technician II in Augusta, GA, to set up lane closures, manage traffic control devices, and ensure worker safety on projects. This role requires on-site work with travel statewide and a rotating on-call schedule.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of traffic control experience, a valid driver’s license, and ATSSA TCT Intermediate training; DOT regulations knowledge is essential for safe operations. Benefits include health plans and a 401(k).

Qualifications

• Experience in setting up lane closures on roadways and reading traffic control plans.
• Knowledge of DOT requirements and safety regulations for roadside work.
• Ability to wear PPE correctly and maintain a safe work environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate company trucks to transport materials and equipment to job sites.
• Drive MOT, TMA vehicles to and from projects and on worksites.
• Place temporary traffic signs and position boards in work zones.
• Set up traffic cones and safety devices in work areas.
• Monitor the work zone to ensure proper placement and safety.
• Load and unload traffic control items at shift changes.
• Install and remove delineators, signs, posts, and supports.
• Perform basic maintenance on equipment and shop work.
• Follow safety rules and company policies; adhere to DOT regulations.
