RoadSafe Traffic Systems is seeking a Traffic Control Technician II to set up and take down lane closures and ensure worker safety on state highways and other roadways. Responsibilities include driving MOT and TMA vehicles, placing signs and cones, and maintaining traffic control devices in coordination with a crew.

The role requires 1–3 years of experience, a valid driver’s license, ability to lift up to 70 pounds, and DOT/ATSSA training.

Formación

• Valid driver’s license required.
• 1–3 years of traffic control experience with ~2,000 field hours.
• Must pass background check, drug test, and meet DOT requirements.
• Must wear safety gear (boots with safety toe, hard hat, safety glasses, safety vest).
• Able to read plans and ensure traffic control plans are implemented and maintained.
• Willing to travel statewide, with possible overnight stays; nights/weekends as needed.
• Able to lift up to 70 pounds.
• Must complete ATSSA TCT intermediate training.
• Rotating on-call availability.

Responsabilidades

• Operate company trucks to transport materials and equipment to job sites.
• Drive MOT (Management of Traffic) vehicle to and from projects and work sites.
• Drive TMA (Truck Mounted Attenuator) vehicle to and from projects and on work sites.
• Place temporary construction signs and position arrows/variables boards.
• Set up traffic cones and other safety devices; monitor the work zone.
• Collect/load traffic control items at shift start/end; install/remove delineators and signs.
• Perform shop maintenance and repair of equipment.
• Follow safety rules and company policies; perform other duties as assigned.
