Job summary

RoadSafe Traffic Systems is the leading national provider of traffic safety products and services across 48 states, with 60+ branch locations. The Traffic Control Technician role involves setting up lane closures, redirecting traffic, and handling delivery and pickup of safety products at job sites.

The position requires operating various vehicles, passing DOT-related checks, and traveling statewide with occasional nights and weekends as required by projects.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License required.
• Ability to pass background check including motor vehicle records.
• Ability to pass drug test per federal DOT requirements.
• Wear safety gear (boots with safety toe, hard hat, safety glasses, vest).
• Read and interpret plans and traffic control plans.

Responsibilities

• Operate company trucks to transport materials and equipment to job sites.
• Drive MOT vehicle to and from projects and work sites.
• Drive TMA vehicle for worker safety on projects.
• Set up/maintain traffic control devices and signs.
• Position arrow and variable message boards.
• Monitor work zone for safety and accuracy.
• Load/unload traffic-control items at shifts start/end.
• Follow all safety rules and company policies.
