Job summary

RoadSafe Traffic Systems in Reno, NV is seeking a Traffic Control Technician II to install and maintain safe lane closures on state roadways and assist survey crews. You will operate MOT and TMA vehicles, place traffic control devices, and work independently or as part of a crew to protect workers and the public.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required.
• 1–3 years of experience and 2,000 field hours in traffic control.
• Must pass background check and drug test per federal DOT requirements.
• Wear safety equipment (boots, hard hat, vest, glasses).
• Able to read plans and implement traffic control plans.

Responsibilities

• Operate company trucks to transport materials and equipment to job sites.
• Drive MOT and TMA vehicles to projects and on work sites.
• Place traffic cones, signs, and arrow boards in work areas.
• Set up temporary construction signs and delineators.
• Monitor the work zone for safety and compliance.
• Perform basic shop maintenance on equipment.
