Job summary

RoadSafe Traffic Systems is hiring a Traffic Control Technician II in Sparks, NV. The role involves setting up and taking down lane closures, redirecting traffic, and delivering safety products to job sites, while ensuring worker safety on a variety of projects.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years in traffic control, DOT knowledge, and the ability to travel statewide. You will operate MOT and TMA vehicles and wear required PPE during shifts, including nights and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Valid driver license and ability to pass background and drug screening.
• Minimum 1–3 years in traffic control with at least 2,000 field hours.
• Must meet DOT requirements and wear safety PPE.
• Read traffic plans and implement control measures per plans.
• Willing to travel statewide and work nights/weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Set up and remove lane closures on state highways and other roadways.
• Redirect traffic and protect workers using MOT/TMA equipment.
• Transport materials and equipment to job sites in company trucks.
• Install signs, cones, and safety devices; monitor work zones.
• Perform basic shop maintenance on equipment and adhere to safety rules.
