RoadSafe Traffic Systems seeks a Traffic Control Technician II to set up and take down lane closures, ensure worker safety on highway projects, and transport safety equipment between sites. The role requires 1–3 years of traffic control experience and DOT/compliance readiness.

You will operate MOT/TMA vehicles, install traffic safety devices, and adhere to safety guidelines. Occasional statewide travel and potential overnight stays are required, with a rotating on-call schedule.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience and 2,000 field hours in traffic control.
• Must pass a background check including motor vehicle records.
• Must pass a drug test and meet federal DOT requirements.
• Wear safety equipment (boots with safety toe, hard hat, safety glasses, vest).
• Ability to lift/move up to 70 pounds.
• Willingness to travel statewide, with possible overnight stays, and rotate on-call.

Responsabilités

• Operate company trucks to transport materials/equipment to job sites.
• Drive MOT vehicle to and from projects and job sites.
• Drive TMA vehicle to protect workers and work zones.
• Set up/position traffic signs, arrow boards, cones, and safety devices.
• Monitor the work zone to ensure proper placement of items.
• Collect/load traffic control items at start/end of shifts.
• Install/maintain delineators, signs, posts, and supports.
• Perform shop maintenance on equipment.
• Follow safety rules and company policies.
• Work near schools and children as required.
