Job summary

RoadSafe Traffic Systems in Corpus Christi, TX, is seeking a Traffic Control Technician II to set up and take down lane closures, securing safe work zones on state highways and local roadways while coordinating with survey crews and delivering safety products to job sites.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of traffic control experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to pass background, DOT and drug tests.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of traffic control experience and 2,000 field hours.
• Background check and motor vehicle records check required.
• Must pass a drug test and meet federal DOT requirements.
• Wear safety equipment (boots with safety toe, hard hat, safety glasses, vest).
• Read plans and follow traffic control plans.

Responsibilities

• Operate company trucks to transport materials and equipment to job sites.
• Drive MOT vehicle to and from projects.
• Drive TMA vehicle to protect workers and work zones.
• Set up traffic signs, cones, and boards in work areas.
• Monitor the work zone to ensure items remain in place.
• Load and unload traffic control items at shift start/end.
• Install and remove delineators, signs, posts, and supports.
• Perform shop maintenance on equipment.
• Follow safety rules and company policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
