Job summary

RoadSafe Traffic Systems, the leading national provider of traffic safety products and services, seeks a Traffic Control Technician in Augusta, GA. You will set up and take down lane closures, redirect traffic around projects, and move safety products between sites.

Responsibilities include operating trucks, driving MOT and TMA vehicles, placing signs, and maintaining work zones. Occasional overnight travels and a rotating on‑call schedule are required.

Qualifications

• Valid U.S. Driver's License with a good driving record.
• 1–3 years of traffic control experience and 2,000 field hours.
• Must pass background check, motor vehicle records review, and a drug test (DOT).
• Wear PPE: boots with safety toe, hard hat, safety glasses, safety vest.
• Ability to read plans and ensure traffic control plans are implemented.

Responsibilities

• Operate company trucks to transport materials and equipment to job sites.
• Drive MOT vehicle to and from projects and on work sites.
• Drive TMA vehicle to protect workers and work zones.
• Place temporary construction signs in work areas.
• Position arrow boards or variable message boards.
• Set up traffic cones and safety devices in work areas.
• Monitor the work zone to ensure proper item placement.
