Responsibilities

• Direct traffic through work zones using hand signals and paddles; coordinate with equipment operators and supervisors.

• Monitor surroundings for hazards and adjust traffic patterns as needed.
• Communicate clearly with flaggers and crew to ensure safe movement through the work zone.
• Provide courteous, professional interaction with motorists at all times.
• Report any unsafe activity, near misses, or incidents immediately.
• Assist with cleanup and breakdown of traffic control setups at shift end.
• Remain alert during long shifts, including nights or weekends.
• Follow safety procedures and OSHA regulations.
• Perform additional duties to support field operations.
