Job summary

RoadSafe Traffic Systems is seeking a Traffic Control Flagger to direct traffic around construction zones and work areas. You will set up and dismantle signs, cones, and barricades, using hand signals and paddles to guide motorists and protect workers.

This role requires outdoor work in varying weather and long periods of standing, with emphasis on safety and clear communication. The position demands a valid driver’s license, weekend availability, and passing a DOT-compliant drug test.

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver’s license and pass MVR checks.
• Must pass a drug test and meet Federal DOT requirements.
• Availability to work on weekends and 12-hour shifts.
• Wear safety boots, hard hat, safety glasses, and safety vest.
• Ability to operate two-way radio and communicate with team.

Responsibilities

• Set up signs, cones, and traffic control devices to divert traffic.
• Manage traffic flow with stop/slow paddles and signals.
• Communicate with team via two-way radios.
• Stand and walk for extended periods and lift over 50 pounds as needed.
• Operate company vehicles to transport equipment to sites.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks.
