Job summary

Coastal Elite Pro is seeking a Traffic Safety Protector to support our team at job sites. No prior experience or degree is required; comprehensive training is provided and safety is the top priority for every assignment.

You will set up cones, signs and barricades, guide traffic with stop/slow paddles, and maintain a safe outdoor work area in all weather. Opportunities for advancement include Senior Protector, Lead Protector, and Field Supervisor roles.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Ability to stand, walk, and lift 40–50 pounds.
• Willingness to work in traffic and in all weather conditions.
• Flexible schedule and punctuality are expected.
• Ability to stay alert around moving traffic and follow safety rules.
• Respectful interaction with coworkers and the public is required.
• Must pass pre-hire screening, including a drug test.

Responsibilities

Role Overview

The position involves working as a Traffic Safety Protector, supporting team efforts at job sites with no prior experience or degree required. Safety is a priority, and comprehensive training is provided.

Your responsibilities include setting up traffic control devices such as cones, signs, and barricades, guiding traffic using stop/slow paddles, and maintaining a safe work environment. You will communicate with your crew and supervisor, assist with keeping vehicles and equipment clean, and work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Key duties also involve adhering to safety protocols, working outside for extended periods, and sometimes performing emergency or night work. You will be equipped with safety gear, and are expected to bring appropriate steel toe boots.

Additional Information

Compensation: $17.00–$17.75 per hour, with overtime, pay raises, paid training, and a traffic safety certificate.
