Job summary

Coastal Elite Pro is seeking an entry-level Traffic Safety Protector in Warren, OH. You will work with a team to set up cones, signs, and barricades, guide traffic with paddles, and monitor site activity while adhering to safety procedures.

The position involves outdoor work in all weather, with some night/weekend shifts. Training is provided and safety gear is supplied; overtime and advancement prospects to Lead/Senior Protector or Field Supervisor may be available.

Qualifications

• Valid drivers license.
• Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Pre-hire screening including a drug test.
• Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather and traffic.

Job description

Role Overview

As a Traffic Safety Protector, you will work with a team at job sites to manage traffic control and ensure safety.

This entry-level position involves setting up cones, signs, and barricades, operating stop/slow paddles, and monitoring traffic and site activity.

Safety training is provided, and you will be equipped with safety gear such as a hard hat, goggles, vest, and walkie talkie.

Physical stamina is required, including standing or walking for extended periods and lifting 40-50 pounds.

Work occurs outdoors in all weather conditions, with some shifts including nights, weekends, or emergency work.

Qualifications & Skills

• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to work outside, stand, walk, and lift heavy objects
• Willingness to work in traffic and various weather conditions
• Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious
• Respectful communication with coworkers, clients, and the public
• Successful completion of pre-hire screening, including a drug test

Key Duties

Compensation & Advancement

Pay ranges from $17.65 to $19.50 per hour with overtime and potential pay increases.

Paid training includes obtaining a traffic safety certificate.
