Job summary

Coastal Elite Pro is seeking a Traffic Safety Protector in Kingsport, TN. You’ll work with a crew at multiple job sites to set up cones, signs, barricades, and guide traffic with stop/slow paddles, following safety protocols. No experience required; training is provided.

Job description

Role Overview

As a Traffic Safety Protector, you will work with a team at various job sites to ensure safety and traffic control.

No prior experience or degree is required; comprehensive training and support are provided.

Your core responsibilities include setting up cones, signs, and barricades, guiding traffic with stop/slow paddles, and maintaining safety protocols.

You will communicate effectively with your crew and supervisor, assist in keeping equipment and vehicles safe and clean, and work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Flexibility in work hours may be necessary, including nights, weekends, or emergency shifts.

Physical stamina is essential, as standing or walking for 8-12 hours and lifting up to 50 pounds are typical tasks.

Qualifications & Skills

• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to stand, walk, and work outdoors for extended periods
• Willingness to work in traffic and changing weather conditions
• Flexibility and punctuality
• Ability to pass pre-employment screening, including a drug test
• Commitment to safety and respectful communication with coworkers and the public

Compensation & Benefits

• Hourly pay between $16.25–$17.00, with overtime opportunities
