Helix Traffic Solutions, LLC is seeking a Traffic Control Apprentice to help keep roadways safe around construction zones. You will set up and monitor sign, cones, and flagger operations, while following safety guidelines to protect workers and motorists.

No prior experience is required; training is provided. This on-site role offers hands-on learning, outdoor work in varying weather, and opportunities for advancement within a national network.

Responsibilities

• Control vehicle and pedestrian traffic around work zones using signs, paddles, or flags.
• Set up, maintain, and remove temporary traffic control zones (signs, barricades, cones) per project rules.
• Communicate with drivers to guide traffic and ensure safe flow.
• Monitor traffic and construction activity to anticipate hazards.
• Coordinate with supervisors using radios or signals.
• Wear PPE and adhere to all safety protocols.
• Assist with loading/unloading traffic control equipment.
• Perform other duties as needed.
