Helix Traffic Solutions, LLC is seeking a Traffic Control Apprentice to manage traffic around construction zones, ensuring safety for workers, motorists, and pedestrians in a dynamic outdoor environment.

Responsibilities include setting up and directing traffic with signs and flags, coordinating with the team, and maintaining PPE and safety standards on site. This entry-level role offers training and certification upon orientation.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must pass a drug screen for all substances including THC.
• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Able to stand for 8+ hours and work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Traffic control/Flagger Certification provided by the company at orientation.

Responsibilities

• Direct vehicle and pedestrian traffic around work zones using handheld signs, paddles, or flags.
• Set up, maintain, and remove temporary traffic control zones per project requirements and regulations.
• Communicate clearly with drivers to guide safe traffic flow.
• Monitor traffic and construction activity to anticipate safety hazards.
• Coordinate with supervisors and team members using radios or hand signals.
• Adhere to safety protocols and wear PPE.
• Assist with loading/unloading traffic control equipment.
