Job summary

Helix Traffic Solutions, LLC is seeking a Traffic Control Apprentice to maintain traffic flow around construction zones, ensuring safety for workers, drivers, and pedestrians.

Responsibilities include setting up and managing temporary work zones, communicating with drivers, and adhering to safety protocols; prior experience not required, CDL not necessarily needed, and company provides flagger certification.

Qualifications

• Must be 20 years of age or older.
• Must pass a drug screen.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Able to stand for 8+ hours and work outdoors in all weather.

Responsibilities

• Control vehicle and pedestrian traffic around work zones using signs, paddles, or flags.
• Set up, maintain, and remove temporary traffic control zones per project requirements.
• Coordinate with supervisors and team members using radios or hand signals.
• Ensure safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE at all times.
• Assist with loading/unloading traffic control equipment as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
