Job summary

Fastenal Co. is seeking a Traffic Assistant Manager in Leominster, MA to oversee the Traffic department. You will lead a team, coordinate scheduling and routing, and ensure safe, efficient daily operations while upholding health, safety and sustainability goals.

Responsibilities include budget management, internal/external communication, and data entry. CDL or willingness to obtain, forklift experience, and strong leadership are preferred.

OVERVIEW

Working as Full-time Traffic Assistant Manager, you will assist in managing the Traffic department. You will motivate and provide leadership to team members to ensure day-to-day operations are completed safely, accurately, efficiently and on time. RESPONSIBILITIES

• Motivating and leading team members

REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

• Possess a current full valid driver's license issued in the country where the job is located (including successful completion of any applicable graduated license program for your state or province) as well as the ability to meet our driving record requirements to use a company vehicle, as needed
• Possess relevant work experience
• Proficient written and oral communication skills
• Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite
• Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
• Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency
• Demonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities
• Highly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented

• Lift, slide, carry and lower packages that typically weigh 25lbs-50lbs and may weigh up to 100lbs
• Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)

PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

• Possess or are currently in progress of obtaining a Commercial Driver's License
• Prior experience operating a forklift
• Possess prior leadership or management work experience

COMPENSATION

The base pay range for this position is $65,000 - $85,000. In addition to base pay, this position is also eligible for a bonus and/or commission.
