Job summary

Fastenal Co. in Jessup, PA Distribution Center is seeking a Shipping Assistant Manager to join the shipping team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. You will lead, coordinate, and motivate staff to ensure accurate, on-time outbound shipments while maintaining safety and efficiency.

You will manage daily operations, communicate across branches, and drive continuous improvement in processes and metrics within a health and sustainability focused culture.

Qualifications

• Possess prior leadership or management work experience.
• Proficient written and oral communication skills.
• Knowledge of computer operations, including warehouse management systems and Microsoft Office Applications.
• Highly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented.
• Exhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills.
• Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment.
• Work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Lead and motivate a team of employees.

OVERVIEW:

Working as Full-time Shipping Assistant Manager, you will assist in managing the Shipping department. The Shipping department is responsible for organizing all outgoing orders by placing packages into the correct shipping containers. You will motivate and provide leadership to team members to ensure day-to-day operations are completed safely, accurately, efficiently and on time.
