Job summary

Euclid Innovations is seeking a DevOps-oriented engineer in New York to manage Linux systems, SQL queries, and automation tools with a focus on deployment, monitoring, and incident handling.

You will implement verifications, integrate with Rundeck/DevAzure, and provision servers while improving infrastructure and runbooks. Strong Python scripting and regulatory workflow interest are valued.

Qualifications

• Experience with Linux systems and scripting.
• Working knowledge of SQL databases and data querying.
• Experience with automation/orchestration tools (Tidal, Autosys, Control-M).
• Strong communication skills with ability to document actions for stakeholders.
• Familiarity with SDLC and Agile methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Implement pre-release and post-deployment verifications.
• Integrate with Rundeck or DevAzure for deployment.
• Implement application control scripts (start/stop).
• Integrate with monitoring solutions (OpsRamp).
• Provision and set up new servers.
• Follow up on production incidents and problem tickets.
• Troubleshoot trading and market data production issues.
• Recommend and implement infrastructure improvements.
• Show proficiency in Python scripting.
• Demonstrate enthusiasm to learn regulatory and trading workflows.

Job description

Familiar with Linux: command line, standard file editing/searching/manipulation, shell scripting, etc.

Working knowledge of relational databases and SQL: understanding of tables, views, indexes; how to query and modify data; query performance/optimization

Working experience with job automation tools such as Tidal, Autosys, Control-M, etc.

Good communication skills, able to: express concerns/risks, document and communicate corrective and preventative action plans to stakeholders, etc.

Methodical approach to problem solving and incident management

Able to define and document operational procedures and runbooks

Familiarity with release packaging and deployment: rundeck, ansible, etc.

Understanding of SDLC and Agile frameworks.
