Job summary

West Elm in Alpharetta, GA seeks a Store Trade Specialist to exceed the local trade sales plan and build a thriving customer community. You will network with area trade associations and represent the brand in the community as a trade liaison.

You will drive new client acquisition, promote products, and partner with store leadership to achieve retail goals. Grow the regional customer base and execute events that drive traffic and showcase West Elm as a resource.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite to include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Strong product and procedural knowledge for remodeling/building trades.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX, Salesforce, and POS systems a plus.
• Strong customer service and sales aptitude with a can-do attitude.
• Proven ability to achieve results independently and with others.
• 2-3 years outside sales experience with a customer service emphasis.

Responsibilities

• Maintain strong sales presence on the floor as first point of contact for design clients.
• Acquire new clients and generate leads through outreach and follow-up.
• Promote West Elm products through in-store service, calls, and visits.
• Collaborate with leadership to execute the store sales plan.
• Grow the customer base within defined client segments and region.
• Identify local associations to engage and build connections.
• Plan and run events to drive traffic and position West Elm as a resource.
• Coordinate with Call Center and Contract teams to leverage resources.
• Support store operations and customer service as needed.
