Job summary

Old Dominion Freight Line, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep fleet equipment in top condition. You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, and execute repairs to ensure reliable service.

The role requires reading precision instruments, welding when needed, and adherence to DOT/OSHA standards. A valid CDL may be required, and candidates must provide their own tools for daily duties.

Qualifications

• Education: High School degree or equivalent.
• Experience in maintenance on trucks or heavy equipment and body/frame repair.
• Must provide own tools to perform job duties.
• Knowledge of DOT, EPA, ICC and OSHA rules and regulations.
• Willing to attend trainings and shifts as needed.
• Able to work in various shifts and environments.

Responsibilities

• Repair company equipment safely and timely, including preventative maintenance and diagnostics.
• Read precision instruments and use diagnostic tools to identify failures.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and trailer systems and perform repairs as needed.
• Weld on converter dollies and truck components when required.
• Ensure compliance with DOT, EPA, ICC and OSHA rules and regulations.
• Maintain records and complete required paperwork.
