Job summary

CENTRAL TRANSPORT LLC is seeking quality mechanics to maintain our fleet of tractors and trailers across the United States and Canada. The role requires performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting electrical and after-treatment systems, and repairing major components to keep our Class 8 trucks on the road.

We offer industry-leading pay starting at $35/hour, company-paid training, and a benefits package including medical, dental, PTO, and leave policies.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience required.
• ASE certification preferred but not required.
• Basic set of tools provided by candidate.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot electrical and after-treatment systems on Class 8 tractors.
• Repair trucks and trailers and related equipment promptly and efficiently.
• Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings and other critical parts.
• Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, battery checks, lubrication.
• Repair and troubleshoot major components such as engine, transmission, differentials.

Responsibilities Include:

• Perform all levels of preventive maintenance services such as troubleshooting and repairing electrical and after-treatment systems on our Class 8 tractors.
• Repair trucks, and trailers and related equipment in a timely and efficient manner
• Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings and other important parts to ensure that they are in proper working condition
• Perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries and lubricating equipment and machinery
• Repairing and troubleshooting of major components such as engine, transmission, and differentials
