Job summary

CENTRAL TRANSPORT LLC is seeking a skilled automotive technician in the Kansas City area to maintain our growing LTL fleet. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose issues, and repair engines, electrical systems, braking, and drive components to keep our Class 8 tractors and trailers on the road.

Requirements include at least 1 year of experience, a basic toolset, and ASE certification is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Basic set of tools
• ASE certification preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Perform all levels of preventive maintenance services such as troubleshooting and repairing electrical and after-treatment systems on our Class 8 tractors.
• Repair trucks, and trailers and related equipment in a timely and efficient manner
• Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings and other important parts to ensure that they are in proper working condition
• Perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries and lubricating equipment and machinery
• Repairing and troubleshooting of major components such as engine, transmission, and differentials
