North American Rail Solutions (NARS) is seeking motivated individuals to join our team as Trackman I. This entry-level role supports the construction, maintenance, and repair of railroad track systems.

It requires physical stamina, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work effectively in outdoor environments as part of a crew. The position involves installing and maintaining tracks, performing repairs, inspecting components, and operating basic tools and equipment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in railroad, heavy construction, or maintenance preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs and work outdoors in all weather.
• Willingness to travel including weekends and overnight stays.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain railroad tracks, embankments, and related infrastructure.
• Perform track construction and repair tasks such as replacing rail and ties.
• Operate manual tools and specialized equipment as required.
• Conduct visual inspections for wear, damage, or safety concerns.
• Record work performed and report issues to supervisors.
• Respond to after-hours callouts for emergency track repairs.
• Assist in re-railing train cars and restoring track integrity.
• Participate in safety briefings and hazard discussions.
• Maintain site setup and cleanup for safety and efficiency.
• Follow safety regulations including PPE use and hazard reporting.
