Job summary

Metropolitan Transportation Authority in New York is seeking a seasoned managerial professional to plan, organize, and oversee Track Construction, Subway Maintenance and Track Cleaning operations. The role requires a high school diploma with six years of experience and three years in a supervisory capacity.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum six years of professional experience.
• Three years of managerial/supervisory experience required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Transportation Management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide managerial direction and coordinate activities related to Fabrication, Track Construction, Subway Maintenance and Track Cleaning in specified geographic areas.
• Provide timely coordination and implementation of safety procedures.
• Disseminate and implement policy changes and provide administrative support.
• May be required to assist as needed and liaise with upper management.
• Oversee subordinates performing duties that may include developing cost estimates, oversees training compliance, contract management, coordinating general orders, providing necessary inspection, and performing maintenance repair and/or construction activities to ensure safe and reliable Transit Track Operation.
• Assume the duties and responsibilities to the General Superintendent in their absence.
