Job summary

Ascensus is seeking a National TPA Business Development Director to grow and deepen partnerships with Third Party Administrators. You will work with local sales teams to identify opportunities, design territory strategy, and expand Ascensus as a preferred recordkeeper for TPAs.

The role requires 5+ years in the retirement plan industry, strong relationship skills, and a willingness to travel 25–50% for in-person meetings and conferences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in retirement plans.
• 5+ years of experience in the retirement plan industry, with TPAs or recordkeeping.
• Proven relationship management and business development track record.
• Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to travel 25–50%, including overnight trips.

Responsibilities

• Partner with local sales to design territory strategy and target TPAs.
• Build and maintain trust-based relationships with TPAs and staff.
• Present Ascensus value proposition to win TPA referrals.
• Collaborate with internal teams to address TPA needs and education.
• Represent Ascensus at national conferences such as ASPPA and NIPA.
• Maintain CRM records and report territory progress to leadership.
