Job summary

Toys“R”Us in Emeryville, CA is seeking a Store Manager to lead the flagship team and deliver a positive, memorable customer experience. You will oversee daily operations, coaching and development, and collaboration with Home Office functions such as Merchandising and Marketing.

The role requires a BA/BS or associate degree and at least 2 years of retail/store management experience with a sales focus, plus strong leadership and a passion for play and customer service.

Qualifications

• BA/BS or Associate’s degree required.
• Minimum 2 years in retail, hospitality or event execution management.
• Proven successful experience as a retail store manager with sales focus.
• Self-motivated, accountable, responsible and open to feedback.
• Knowledge in retail operations, sales, customer service, merchandising, inventory control and loss prevention is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create an animated, appealing environment and motivate the team to deliver a memorable customer experience.
• Build a customer-centric team by recruiting, hiring, training and retaining staff to meet sales targets.
• Provide leadership by delivering training, feedback and annual reviews; manage team morale and accountability.
• Plan and analyze the business; establish strategic plans; monitor KPIs and ROI of events and promotions.
• Teach and share learnings with Home Office; provide product knowledge, selling skills and customer insights.
• Run a safe, profitable, entertaining store by managing policies, budgets, loss prevention, and operations.
