Job summary

Toys“R”Us is seeking a Store Manager for our Franklin Park location. The role leads the store team, drives daily operations, and ensures a memorable customer experience aligned with our Pillars of Play.

Responsibilities include planning, coaching, achieving sales targets, coordinating with Merchandising, Promotions, Events, Training and Finance, and building a customer-centric, engaging environment. A BA/BS or Associate's degree and retail leadership experience are required.

Qualifications

• BA, BS or Associate’s degree required.
• Preferred professional experience – minimum 2 years in retail, hospitality or event execution management.
• Experience in behavioral coaching, conflict management, training and development is a plus.
• Knowledge in retail operations, sales, customer service, merchandising, inventory control and store budgeting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspire and motivate team by illustrating a clear vision of the Customer experience and the teamwork required to deliver that experience.
• Coach team members in anticipating customer needs, encouraging purchase and in creating a store atmosphere that is fun.
• Cultivate a strong partnership with the visual merchandising team and flawlessly execute merchandising standards and marketing strategies.
• Recruit, hire, train and retain an Associate team capable of delivering sales targets while maintaining a cheerful, stimulating environment.
• Delivering training and constructive feedback in timely manner and conducting mid-year and annual reviews for all employees.
