Job summary

Stepp’s Towing & Heavy Transport in the Tampa area is seeking Light Duty Tow Operators. The role emphasizes safety, customer service, problem solving, and a proactive attitude.

You’ll respond to roadside incidents, assist motorists, and tow vehicles to facilities while maintaining a professional image and teamwork. DOT medical card and clean driving record are required, plus passing a background and drug test.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of verifiable commercial motor vehicle driving experience.
• DOT Medical Card required before the first day of work.
• Clean driving record for at least the past 3 years.
• Must pass a criminal background check and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to accidents, vehicle breakdowns, and roadside emergencies.
• Communicate effectively with motorists while en route to service calls.
• Carry out minor repairs or tow vehicles to repair facilities as needed.
• Safely secure and transport vehicles on your truck.
• Remove vehicles parked in unauthorized locations.
