Job summary

Stepp’s Towing and Heavy Transport is expanding its Orlando team and seeking Light Duty Tow Truck Operators. The role emphasizes safety, customer service, and problem-solving while responding to roadside incidents with a focus on efficient service delivery.

Compensation includes a 30% commission structure; weekends are mandatory. Benefits include medical/dental/vision, 401K match, paid time off, and referral bonuses. Training is provided for tow truck operation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of verifiable commercial motor vehicle driving experience.
• Current DOT Medical Card required before first day of work.
• Clean driving record for at least the past 3 years; background check and drug test required.
• Towing experience is preferred but training provided.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Respond quickly to accidents, breakdowns, and roadside incidents.
• Maintain communication with motorists while en route.
• Tow vehicles to repair facilities as needed; perform basic repairs as required.
• Safely load vehicles onto the tow truck and manage vehicle removal from sites.
