Stepp’s Towing & Heavy Transport is seeking Heavy-Duty Tow Truck Operators. Join a family-owned business serving the Tampa Bay and Orlando areas since 1960. The role involves operating heavy tow trucks, equipment, and service trucks on 12-hour shifts, with on-call nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Class A CDL with at least 2 years of verifiable experience.
• Current DOT Medical Card.
• Proven heavy-duty towing experience preferred.
• Registered in the DOT Clearinghouse.
• Clean driving record for the last 3 years.
• Able to pass a background check and drug test.
• Mechanical knowledge a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate Heavy Tow Trucks, Rollbacks, and Service Trucks safely and efficiently.
• Respond to Florida Traffic Incident Management Program calls and RISC.
• Work safely at accident scenes, often in traffic and all-weather conditions.
• Cooperate closely with law enforcement and other first responders.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers.
• Operate GPS mapping devices.
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.

Stepp’s Towing & Heavy Transport is seeking Heavy-Duty Tow Truck Operators to join our team! We’re looking for candidates with a positive attitude, strong customer service skills, and effective problem-solving abilities.

All drivers must have their own set of tools.

Essential Functions

• Operate Heavy Tow Trucks, Rollbacks, and Service Trucks efficiently and safely
• Respond to Florida Traffic Incident Management Program calls and RISC

Commission Pay

• Graduated commission pay scale starting at 25%
  • This pay structure should not be misconstrued as a salaried position.

Schedule

• 12-hour shifts - Monday to Friday
  • On-Call every 3rd night and every 3rd weekend of the month
