The Compensation and Benefits Administrator (Total Rewards) is responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and management of compensation and benefits programs. This role ensures that the organization's compensation practices are competitive, equitable, and compliant with all legal regulations, while also enhancing employee satisfaction and engagement.

This position will be remote but will require some travel (10%) to the Corporate HQ for required meetings. Candidates must reside within the Eastern time zone.

Salary range: $75-90k

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive compensation and benefits strategies that align with organizational goals.
  • Conduct regular market analysis to ensure competitive salary and benefits offerings.
  • Oversee the administration of salary structures, job evaluations, and performance management processes.
  • Conduct analysis on PTO plans to ensure competitiveness.
  • Oversee employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, executive benefit and bonus programs, and wellness initiatives.
  • Ensure all compensation and benefits programs comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Prepare and analyze reports on compensation trends, costs, and benefits utilization.
  • Research and recommend improvements to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of programs.
  • Work closely with HR leadership to align compensation and benefits strategies with overall HR initiatives.
  • Facilitate workshops to educate employees about available compensation and benefits options.
  • Manage the merit increase process, ensuring alignment with performance review cycles.
  • Liaise with external vendors and consultants for benefits management and compensation analysis.
  • Assist employees regarding certain benefits claim issues and plan changes.
  • Distribute all benefits enrollment materials and determines eligibility.
  • Enroll employees with carriers and processes qualifying life events.
  • Respond to benefits inquiries from managers and employees on plan provisions, benefits enrollments, status changes and other general inquiries.
  • Effectively interpret FMLA and ADA implications as they relate to leaves of absences/disabilities.
  • Oversee and act as the main point of contact during the open enrollment process.
  • Ensure new plans and deductions are entered into the HRIS.
  • Other duties assigned as deemed necessary by management.
Qualifications
  • Extensive knowledge of employee benefits, compensation, and applicable laws.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Working understanding of human resource principles, practices and procedures.
  • Working understanding of employment laws.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • HRIS experience required - ADP Workforce Now experience is a plus.
Licensure/Certifications/Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field and/or equivalent experience.
  • CCP and/or CEBS a plus.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of benefits and compensation plan design/benchmarking experience required.
  • Background in business or finance preferred
