Job summary

The City of Dallas is seeking an Assistant Director, Total Rewards, to lead data-driven compensation, benefits, recognition, and wellness programs. Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, this role designs strategies to attract, retain, and engage top talent while carefully managing costs.

You will oversee the Compensation and Benefits Service Center and Wellness functions, collaborate with stakeholders, and mentor a team of professionals in a fast-paced, public-service environment.

Qualifications

• A minimum of eight (8) years of experience in Human Resources Management with a strong focus on benefits and compensation including experience in developing and implementing data-driven HR initiatives with measurable outcomes; preferably in the public sector.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a data-driven total rewards strategy.
• Utilize data analysis methodologies to optimize benefits/compensation performance.
• Lead and manage the Compensation and Benefits Service Center and Wellness functions.
• Oversee benefits-related projects and promote employee understanding of benefits programs.
• Partner with stakeholders across the organization to develop, implement, and communicate benefits and workforce planning initiatives.
• Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous learning and development for assigned staff and the organization.
