Job summary

St. Joseph Center, a Los Angeles nonprofit, seeks a Total Rewards Partner to own benefits, leaves, workers’ compensation, and HRIS processes. This hands-on role supports compensation activities, data quality, and reporting while partnering with brokers, payroll, and vendors to drive efficient total rewards programs.

Hybrid work with onsite presence, cross-functional collaboration, and a focus on scalable systems. Four+ years in HR with benefits and HRIS ownership is required for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent knowledge and experience.
• Four or more years of progressively responsible Human Resources experience with ownership of benefits administration, leave management, workers’ compensation, and HRIS transactions or reporting.
• Strong working knowledge of California and federal leave, disability accommodation, benefits, and workers’ compensation requirements.
• Experience managing multiple employee cases, deadlines, vendors, data files, and confidential records with accuracy.
• Hands‑on experience with an HRIS, payroll system, benefits platform, and vendor interfaces or data feeds.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day administration of medical, dental, vision, life, flexible spending, retirement, and related benefit programs.
• Manage end-to-end administration of statutory, company-provided, and personal leaves.
• Administer workers’ compensation cases from incident intake through closure.
• Assist with HRIS data quality, reporting, and employee experience initiatives.
• Support compensation data gathering, market data, and annual compensation processes.
• Contribute to building scalable workflows, SOPs, and training materials.
