Job summary

TERREPOWER seeks a Director, Total Rewards to lead compensation, benefits, and payroll for its US workforce across all business units. You will own the pay structures, incentive programs, health and welfare plans, retirement benefits, and payroll operations.

This hands-on senior role shapes strategy and drives execution—merit cycles, open enrollment, payroll policy, and broker negotiations—while presenting to executives and guiding data models behind decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 8+ years leading compensation and benefits with payroll responsibility.
• Experience designing base pay structures and incentive programs.
• Strong knowledge of benefits design and related regulations (ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, FLSA).
• Experience managing broker/vendor relationships and renewals.
• Advanced Excel and HRIS/Payroll systems (Workday/UKG/ADP).
• Ability to guide strategy and execution while communicating clearly.
• Experience supporting multi-site hourly and salaried workforces.

Responsibilities

• Architect and own job architecture, salary structures, and pay bands.
• Lead market benchmarking, pay analysis, and equity reviews.
• Budget, design, and administer merit and incentive programs.
• Own total rewards budget, costs, and financial projections.
• Oversee benefits portfolio design, renewal, and administration.
• Lead US open enrollment end-to-end across locations.
• Manage broker and vendor relationships; negotiate terms and renewals.
• Set payroll strategy and compliance direction for US/Canada.
• Ensure ERISA/ACA/HIPAA/FLSA compliance and filings.
