Job summary

Base-2 Solutions is seeking an Information Systems Security Engineer to provide cybersecurity and security engineering services for the NMCC. This is a full-time onsite day-shift position at the Pentagon/NMCC, including ad-hoc telework.

Active Top Secret/SCI clearance and Security+ certification are required, with 5+ years of systems engineering experience. A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is expected; a Master's degree or more experience is welcome.

Qualifications

Security+ certification is required.
5+ years of systems engineering experience or equivalent education/experience.
Ability to identify security risks across OS, hardware, and data transfer protocols.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Proactive, able to work independently.

Responsibilities

Perform security assessments of computing environments to identify vulnerabilities and recommend mitigations.
Build, deploy, and patch HBSS Windows and ACAS RHEL servers.
Manage ePO, Security Center, and Nessus servers and user accounts.
Analyze ACAS scans and remediate findings; obtain licenses and ISO images as needed.
Run SCAP scans on Windows and RHEL servers; patching and repository management.
Design, implement, and maintain complex IT systems and cybersecurity controls.
Lead technical solution development from requirements to deployment.
Document analyses and communicate recommended actions.
