Job summary

Base-2 Solutions seeks an Information Systems Security Engineer to provide cybersecurity and security engineering services for the National Military Command Center (NMCC). The role is a full-time on-site position at the Pentagon/NMCC with ad-hoc telework.

The engineer will perform risk assessments, security architecture support, and implement security controls across Windows and Red Hat environments, including HBSS, ACAS, Nessus, and ePO suites.

Responsibilities

• Perform or review technical security assessments to identify vulnerabilities and recommend mitigations.
• Build, deploy, and patch HBSS Windows and ACAS RHEL servers.
• Manage HBSS ePO, Security Center, and Nessus servers; provide accounts to Vulnerability Managers.
• Analyze ACAS scan results and remediate findings.
• Obtain licenses for HBSS ePOs and Tenable Security Centers.
• Design, implement, and maintain complex IT systems and cyber security networks.
• Lead technical solution development from requirements through design and deployment.
