Job summary

ABSC is seeking an Information Systems Security Engineer to support the NMCC in the Pentagon, Arlington, VA. The role focuses on security engineering, vulnerability management, and HVAC-like risk mitigation for DoD networks.

You will manage HBSS, ACAS, Tenable, Nessus, and Linux/Windows environments, build and patch systems, and ensure compliance with STIGs and security benchmarks. A TS/SCI clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI security clearance.
• Current CompTIA Security+ certification.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant systems-engineering experience.
• Strong understanding of systems engineering incl. design and architecture.
• Hands-on experience with HBSS, ACAS, ePO, Tenable SecurityCenter, or Nessus.
• Experience securing Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux servers.
• Knowledge of STIGs and cybersecurity benchmarks.
• Ability to interpret vulnerability scans and plan remediation.
• Strong planning, organization, and time management.
• Ability to work independently and onsite in NMCC.

Responsibilities

• Provide cybersecurity and security-engineering services and risk assessments.
• Perform technical security assessments of computing environments.
• Identify vulnerabilities and noncompliance with standards.
• Develop mitigation strategies and corrective actions.
• Build, deploy, patch HBSS Windows servers and ACAS/RHEL servers.
• Manage McAfee, Tenable and Nessus servers and policies.
• Create and manage SecurityCenter accounts for vulnerability managers.
• Analyze ACAS results and support remediation actions.
• Obtain licenses for HBSS ePO and Tenable.
• Configure and patch McAfee modules via ePO.
