Job summary

Convergint Federal is seeking an Install Technician II to join our team in North Carolina. This role focuses on installing, configuring, testing, and maintaining a range of physical security systems, including access control, video surveillance, and intrusion detection.

You will work with project teams to ensure quality and on-time delivery. You must have a high school diploma and 5+ years of security system installation experience, with the ability to read blueprints and work with low-voltage

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; electronics/related training preferred.
• 5+ years of proven experience in installation and maintenance of security systems, including access control and video surveillance.
• State/local licenses as required by law and possible certifications (Lenel, Avigilon, Milestone, CCure, Software House, AMAG).

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain security systems (access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection).
• Run and terminate low-voltage cabling per standards.
• Integrate components to function as a cohesive system and provide client training.
• Perform system tests and inspections to ensure quality and reliability.
• Maintain accurate installation records and project documentation.
• Coordinate with project managers and engineers to meet timelines and budgets.
