Advanced Powder Products, Inc. is seeking a tooling leader with strong experience in injection molding tooling to oversee toolroom operations and drive improvements. You will coordinate tooling schedules, supplier interactions, and tooling quality while mentoring staff in a fast-paced environment.

Qualificações

• Associates degree in Tool and Die or Machine Tool Technology.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in injection molding tooling.
• Ability to identify technical problems and develop sound solutions.
• Experience leading tooling teams and coordinating internal/external tooling builds.
• Familiarity with ISO 13485 and ISO 9001 standards.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee and lead tooling areas and provide direction to tooling staff.
• Optimize tooling schedules, build sequencing, and resource allocation.
• Ensure tooling processes, storage and inventory are managed.
• Drive process improvements and tooling quality through troubleshooting.
• Coach, train, and discipline tooling staff as needed.
• Coordinate with vendors and clients to meet specifications, schedules, and costs.
• Support design/build of tooling and fixtures and documentation of new tools.

Job Characteristics

Other Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

• Oversee and lead all areas of tooling and provide tooling staff with direction and priorities on daily, weekly, and monthly basis
• Optimize toolroom schedule for equipment and resource constraints
• Optimize tool build sequencing and resource allocation for internal tool builds
• Oversee tooling process, storage and inventory both internally and externally
• Identify and drive process improvements utilizing troubleshooting skills to optimize tool quality and build efficiency
• Drive 5S, equipment maintenance, safety, and employee training /development in the tooling area
• Responsible for coaching, training, and disciplining employees
• Participate in tool vendor selection, evaluation, and management
• Communicate with clients and vendors to ensure tools are delivered to specifications (schedules, costs, and modification)
• Oversee and support design and build of tooling and fixtures
• Oversee and support inspection, fit-up, and documentation of new tools as they arrive
• Repair damaged tooling by use of various tool repair techniques (welding, grinding, machining)
• Follow the standards of ISO 13485 and ISO 9001 International Standards

Qualifications
