Job summary

Top Echelon Software, LLC is seeking an experienced Toolmaker for our Hastings, Michigan facility. You will build, repair, and maintain dies, molds, fixtures, and production tooling for high-volume manufacturing.

You will read engineering drawings, prepare materials, and set up manual and CNC Tool Room equipment with strict tolerances, ensuring precision and quality. The role offers competitive pay and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

High School Diploma, GED or equivalent with relevant industrial experience.
Tool & Die or Toolmaker Apprenticeship completed, or 8 years progressive Toolmaker experience.
Experience building and repairing production dies, fixtures, molds, and precision tooling.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, CAD prints and specs.
Experience operating manual machines and CNC Tool Room equipment.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent attention to detail and teamwork.

Responsibilities

Build, repair, modify, and maintain precision tooling for high-volume manufacturing.
Interpret drawings and CAD prints to determine machining methods and materials.
Set up and operate mills, lathes, drill presses, grinders, and CNC Tool Room equipment.
Perform precision surface grinding and inspect tooling for dimensional accuracy.
Install, test, and troubleshoot tooling during production trials.
Maintain clean, safe Tool Room and support continuous improvement initiatives.
