Job summary

Top Echelon Software, LLC. is seeking an experienced Toolmaker for our Hastings, Michigan facility. You will build, repair, and maintain dies, molds, and production tools in a modern Tool Room, interpreting CAD drawings and specs to ensure precision and quality.

You’ll operate mills, lathes, grinders, and CNC Tool Room equipment, with a focus on tight tolerances, reliability, and manufacturing efficiency. competitive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent with relevant industrial experience.
• Completion of Tool & Die or Toolmaker Apprenticeship with 4 years Toolmaker experience or 8 years progressive Toolmaker experience.
• Experience in producing dies, molds, fixtures and precision tooling.
• Strong ability to read drawings/ CAD/blueprints and interpret specs.

Responsibilities

• Build, repair, modify, and maintain precision tooling for high-volume manufacturing.
• Interpret engineering drawings and CAD prints to determine machining methods and material requirements.
• Plan and perform precision machining, bench work, fitting, assembly, and finishing of tooling components.
• Set up, operate, and maintain mills, lathes, drill presses, grinders, and CNC Tool Room equipment.
• Perform precision surface grinding to achieve tight tolerances and high-quality finishes.
• Inspect tooling to ensure compliance with drawings and specs.
• Install and test tooling during production trials and adjust as needed.
