Meritas Advisory Group, LLC is seeking a skilled Toolmaker to join our Hastings, Michigan facility. You will build, repair, and maintain dies, molds, jigs, fixtures, and production tooling for high-volume operations.

You will read drawings, set up manual and CNC tooling, and ensure precise tolerances throughout manufacturing processes. The role offers 2nd & 3rd shift options with competitive pay ($33.00–$38.00 per hour DOE), shift premiums, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Tool & Die or Toolmaker Apprenticeship completed (4 yrs) or 8 yrs progressive Toolmaker exp.
• Strong ability to read/interpret engineering drawings/blueprints/CAD prints.
• Experience operating manual and CNC tooling equipment.
• Proficient with precision measuring instruments and tight tolerances.

Responsabilités

• Build, repair, modify, and maintain precision tooling for high-volume manufacturing.
• Interpret drawings/blueprints/CAD prints to determine methods and materials.
• Set up and operate mills, lathes, grinders, and CNC Tool Room equipment.
• Inspect tooling and machined parts for conformance to specs.
• Diagnose tooling issues and perform preventative maintenance.
