Job Juncture is seeking a skilled Toolmaker for our client’s Hastings, Michigan facility. You will build, repair, and maintain dies, molds, jigs, fixtures, and tooling for high-volume production, interpreting drawings and cad/CAD prints to ensure tight tolerances.

The role requires completing a Tool & Die apprenticeship or equivalent, with 4+ years of Toolmaker experience in manufacturing. Excellent problem-solving and teamwork are essential.

Formación

• High School Diploma or equivalent with relevant industrial experience.
• Completion of Tool & Die or Toolmaker Apprenticeship or 8+ years progressive Toolmaker experience in manufacturing.
• Experience as Toolmaker, Tool & Die Maker, Tool & Die Technician, or related roles.
• Experience building/repairing production dies, fixtures, molds, and precision tooling.
• Ability to read/interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, CAD prints, and specs.
• Experience operating manual machines and CNC Tool Room equipment.
• Proficient with precision measuring instruments and tight tolerances.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and quality workmanship.
• Strong communication and team collaboration skills.

Responsabilidades

• Build, repair, modify, and maintain precision tooling for high-volume manufacturing.
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, CAD prints, and specs for methods and materials.
• Plan and perform precision machining, bench work, fitting, assembly, and finishing of tooling components.
• Set up, operate, and maintain mills, lathes, drill presses, grinders, and CNC Tool Room equipment.
• Perform precision surface grinding to meet tolerances and quality.
• Machine complex components requiring precise setups and measurements.
• Install, adjust, troubleshoot, and test tooling during production trials.
• Assemble tooling and mechanical components, verify dimensions and fit.
• Inspect tooling and machined components against drawings and specs.
• Mark, measure, and prepare raw materials for machining operations.
• Diagnose tool failures, identify root causes, and repair to minimize downtime.
• Perform preventative maintenance and tooling improvements.
• Maintain clean, safe Tool Room following safety procedures.
• Support continuous improvement and other Tool Room projects.
